Will you subdivide the parcels for me?
Currently, we have no plans to subdivide into lots. The parcels will be sold as they are currently listed.

Are there roads?
Yes, all of the parcels have roads or established access.

What are the restrictions on land use?
The acreage is covered by the Apache County Comprehensive Plan or the Nutrioso Area Plan.

Does the National Forest border a specific parcel?
Yes, all but three of the parcels back up to the Apache Region of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. The two million acre National Forest encompasses the magnificent mountain country of east-central Arizona along the Mogollon Rim and the White Mountains.

Where is Nutrioso?
Nutrioso is a small community in the White Mountains of Arizona. Settled in 1875, this town remains a small retirement, seasonal, and bedroom community. A map of the region is posted here. Nutrioso is on highway 180/191 south of Springerville and Eager, and north of Alpine.

How do you pronounce Nutrioso?
Nutrioso is pronounced "new-tree-oh-so." Local folklore says that the town was named for the wildlife in the area — the Beaver and the Bear. Settlers combined the Spanish words "nutria" and "oso" into Nutrioso. Unfortunately, they somehow used the wrong word for "beaver," which is actually "castor." In Spanish, a "nutria" is an otter.
